Hussler, I must acknowledge to not being as aware as I should be with Apache's form history but I have always thought of him as a galloper who is very much suited beyond 1200. Anyway whatever is the case I hope he comes back at his top next campaign. I think he has been slightly below par (in the negative sense) this preparation. In the case of his first up run down the straight at Flemington I thought he looked heavy, too heavy (but what would I know however I did say this to my wife before the race) and in the other runs he found one or two just a bit too good on the day.
