Thanks Dougie for these Hobart 1000 heats. Looks interesting I think it corresponds with the Ballarat Cup Final night. I will definitely be at the club and not only because my daughter is having friends over for a BBQ. It will be interesting to see how Fallen Zorro and Chinatown Lad go in their respective heats and even their litter brother Arctic Silver who has not started since mid-June.
Big Moose is another interesting runner, as well as Fergalicious and is First Innings a Ricky Ponting greyhound? Also Birthday Boy is a very capable visitor. It is undoubtedly just a case of my lack of knowledge of the various dogs and the race conditions but I must admit to being surprised that Teaman Titch (almost $50,000 prizemoney) can only get a reserve spot. Furthermore, I am confused as to why Teaman Titch appears to be drawn as a reserve in only one heat whereas others are drawn as a reserve in more than one heat. I am sure there is a very good reason. Does anyone know the reasoning behind these matters?
